RegsReady.co.uk (“we”, “us”) runs this website. We are the data controller for the personal information described here. If you have any questions, contact us at hello@regsready.co.uk.
What we collect
- Account details: your name, email address and a securely hashed password.
- Study data: lessons completed, answers to practice questions, mock exam results, your exam date and study settings. We use these to show your progress and readiness score.
- Purchase records: what you bought, when, and how much you paid. Card payments are handled by Stripe; we never see or store your card number.
- Messages: anything you send through the contact form or the “report this question” tool.
- Technical data: your IP address (used for security such as limiting login attempts) and, if you allow analytics cookies, anonymised usage statistics.
Why we use it (lawful basis)
- To provide the course you signed up for (performance of a contract): your account, progress tracking, receipts and account emails.
- To keep the site secure and improve it (legitimate interests): preventing fraud and abuse, fixing errors and improving questions that many people find confusing.
- To meet legal obligations: keeping payment records for tax purposes.
- Marketing emails (consent): only if you opt in. You can opt out at any time from your account page or any email.
Who we share it with
We share only what’s needed with the services that help us run the site: our web host (SiteGround, UK/EU data centres), Stripe (payments), our email provider, and, if you allow it, our analytics provider. We never sell your data.
How long we keep it
We keep your account while it’s active. If you delete your account, we delete your profile and study data straight away. Payment records are kept for six years to meet HMRC requirements.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you can ask to see, correct, download or delete your data, and you can object to how we use it. You can download your data and delete your account yourself from your account page. If you’re unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk).
